Chloe Moretz, 14, defies her tender teen years in vampish red dress at National Board of Review Awards…

She (Chloe) is no stranger to controversy, and Chloe Moretz pushed the boundaries once again at the National Board of Review Awards.

The actress graced the red carpet in a thigh-skimming dress by Miu Miu Resort, which left her looking older than her 14 years.

Chloe wrapped a black belt around the red satin number and paired it with some matching glittery high heels reminiscent of Dorothy’s magical slippers in the Wizard of Oz.

She added a playful bow headband and wore her hair in a bun with a couple of loose curls, leaving her youthful face relatively free of make-up.

The Kick-Ass star made sure she found time to pose for photos with fans when she arrived at the event in New York City.

She was in attendance to show support for her latest film Hugo, an adaptation of the novel The Invention of Hugo Cabret, which was directed by Martin Scorsese.

The movie scooped the gong for Best Film of The Year at the awards gala.

It is not the first time the actress has raised eyebrows for acting older than her age.

Chloe played foul-mouthed Hit-Girl in the movie, which was rated certificate 15.

At the time of release the actress was only 13 years old, legally too young to watch her own movie.

However she has spoken of her hopes to reprise her role in a sequel to the film.

The youngster (Chloe Moretz) has said: I’d like to do it in the next year or two because I think that’s a really good time age-wise. You can show Hit Girl in a different light which would be a lot of fun.

‘You know her as this 11-year-old assassin, so I think it would be fun to show her as this twisted young adult, this 16-17-year-old Catwoman-y almost, twisted and dark person.’
Chloe has also appeared in hits including romantic comedy (500) Days of Summer and horror film Let Me In.
